A large proportion of these communities reside in hard-to-reach, forested, and Left Wing Extremism (LWE)-affected areas, characterized by poor connectivity, scattered habitations, and limited healthcare infrastructure.

57 MMUs operational across 18 districts of Chhattisgarh under PM-JANMAN. Each unit staffed with MBBS Doctor, Nurse/ANM, Lab Technician and Driver. All services provided free of cost.

General OPD consultations, treatment of fever, infections, minor injuries and basic curative care at doorstep. MMU acts like a "moving PHC".
Screening for hypertension, diabetes, cancer (oral, breast, cervical), early identification of diseases and regular follow-up visits.
Blood glucose, Hb, urine tests, pregnancy tests, malaria/RDT tests, height, weight, BMI — on-the-spot diagnostics in MMU vans.
